Show Summary

Email Picture - Patio

This week, Adam is joined by both Ray Oldhafer and Sandy Ganz. They all respond to an email about a guy trying to level out the concrete on his front patio, and also answer a couple questions from a guy who just purchased his first house. The guys also discuss the time Adam tried to get his Christian Rock-loving co-workers to listen to some Soft Rock, and they talk to a caller whose ceiling is falling apart.

Crumbling Concrete

Sandy and Ray look back on the time that Ray worked on Sandy’s garage, and they discuss all of the eccentric people that joined the site and weren’t really up to the task. The guys also take a question from a caller with a crumbling concrete wall, and Adam recalls the time he pissed people off with a Man Show bit.

Follow Ray on Twitter @RayOldhafer, and be sure to check out episodes of Life Lessons with Jim Carolla. ‘The Profesor’ Sandy Ganz can be heard with Adam every week on CarCast.

Great show. Ganz is the quicker co-host but Ray adds some great knowledge. Get it on!

Love Ray, but he needs to understand the skill level of the audience, or Ace needs to translate. “Slap on” or ‘throw on” doesn’t do much, but if he knew the audience was dopes like me, he might be clearer.

Come on, dude, everyone one knows that ‘Slap on’ means give your wife a stiff backhand, and ‘throw on’ means getting drunk and then giving your wife a stiff backhand.

to their point about upgrading light bulbs to CFC or LED. I don’t do it at once. I leave whatever bulbs are working alone. When I replace them, that is when I go CFC or LED. If nothing else, it saves against changing bulbs in the future.

Same with Blu Ray. You would be insane to replace your movie catalogue. Don’t do it. Just buy blu ray as you go forward. In a few years, it has changed itself out. Plus, no sense replacing your back catalogue of DVDs now… because they will find a way to make blu ray obsolete in 5 or 10 years to keep sales up.

thanks Ace and crew. I am working in, and on, my garage as I listen. Its like car talk. I enjoy guessing the fix before you dispense your wisdom. Also, you are doing nicely feeding Ray lines and suggestions. “Now Ray, would they want to spackle that on? Or, just drag it with a finger?” You know the answer, but let him be the answer guy. Very cool.
