Show Summary

Emailer Drain

Adam considers his legacy in the Urban Dictionary, and responds to some alternate nicknames for the Porcelain Punisher. He and Ray also respond to an email about a dentist trying to make the teeth cleaning water more comfortable for his patients. Next up is an email from someone with a flooding water drain, and the guys discuss how runoff and sewage systems differ.

Water Heater Blast

Jumping to the phones, Adam and Ray talk to a caller trying to cover up his gigantic wood stove. Adam is also inspired to talk about left turn arrows, and talks about when water heaters explode. The last set of calls focus on replacing grout, frosted windows, and repairing a hole punched in the wall.

I love listening to all of Ray’s comments. He is knowledgable but I just remember from the Adam Carolla Project (LOVE watching it on DIY) and Ray is pouring paint thinner nn Adam’s wood floor and smoking a lit cigarette. The ash was a quarter inch hanging off the cig! Classic. Love it!

Agreed, I loved the Adam Carolla Project and was so excited to see it on the DIY network. Ray is classic, been waiting for him to come back. How about some shirtless shots?

Here is the better way to change the color of your grout. Its a stain and sealer. No digging out the grout required. If the existing grout is in good shape…..use this.

Great show, guys. An easy fix for the stained window: lemon juice.
Stuff works great on any mineral type stain especially iron rust.

Just like what Ray said, get an insta-hot with a tempering valve for the dental water.

I live in Milwaukee, WI. Here the sewers(where the poops goes) and the storm drains(where the rain goes) are combined. Every time it rains really badly the volume overloads the treatment plant and untreated sewage goes straight into the lake. Lots and lots of money has been spent trying to fix this.
