Show Summary

As the show opens up, Adam and Ray give updates on their current projects. Ray’s crew has been hard at work at a gay spa, and Adam discusses the landscaping happening in his own backyard. The guys also respond to a video question about fixing a brick wall that’s starting to fall apart.

Emails this week include questions about patching drywall and matching texture, and also a guy who wants to add onto his roof without a post for support. Another emailer writes in about a discolored butcher-block countertop, and the show wraps up with Twitter questions about Amish Country, garage door maintenance, and simple tricks to increase the resale value of a house.

Ray don’t take any of aces shit. He fucked up by calling the weed block ‘plastic’ and you called him on it. Keep standing up

Weed block, also callled many other things, is 100% plastic.

David with the Knockdown patch; listen to Ray. Get a small can, for that tiny job (probably $7). Get it ready to go, against a piece of cardboard or something, then spray across your patch with a quick, half circle motion. Then Walk Away, for several minutes. Come back and LIGHTLY knock down the top of what you sprayed on, matching the height of the stuff around it, then leave it alone! I used the same stuff and it works great, if you follow the directions. The brand I used was from homemaxproducts.com/texture. Get the wall product, for Knockdown, small can will be more than enough, big can costs around $12, so the small one should be pretty cheap. On the shelf in the paint department at Lowes.

Chris you are a dummy, it is called ProMat – Google it and you will see that it is not 100% plastic. Ray was right!

I’ll add my 2 cents. Its’ called landscape fabric in the midwest. It is either matted or woven, but looks and feels a bit like felt. It it porous and hence calling it “plastic” is misleading.

Ray was just looking for a way to jump on Adam, since Adam is always slapping down Ray’s points.
